Course Description

In Daoist thinking, the Heart is the sovereign ruler of our life. It houses the spark of the mysterious Divine, our Shen, or Spirit, which today we might call the Heart-Mind. When the Heart is unburdened, we live joyful, satisfying lives, creating loving connections and forming nourishing, healthy relationships. The Heart’s natural state is like that of a very young child—open, enthusiastic, expressive, and engaged with life. The Heart is the doorway to the cosmos, keeping us connected to the Dao and aligned with our Soul’s purpose. In this webinar, we will evoke and immerse ourselves in the consciousness of the Heart and its meridian, to embody and feel it within.

This class will cover:

  • The role of the Heart and its channel in Daoist thinking and Chinese medicine. Why the cultivation of this channel is such an important healing tool and key to living a peaceful, healthy, and satisfying life, in love and harmony with ourselves, one another, and all life.
  • Activation of the channel using Tui na self-massage, breath, and the Heart sound from the 6 Healing Sounds Qi Gong practice. This practice helps to unbind the Heart, releasing it from burdens and bindings, disappointments, and heartbreak.
  • A 30-minute guided meditation journey of the Heart meridian. This is a cultivation meditation practice to return to again and again. In Daoist thinking, it was said that it takes 90 days to fully immerse and awaken the consciousness of a channel.

By the end of this webinar, you will be able to activate your own Heart meridian, unburden and free the Heart, and enter a state of calm, grounded peace. From this open state, you can easily connect to the Dao, your Shen (heart spirit), and your purpose and enthusiasm for life.
